Light Reading material.

I recently ordered two books from amazon. The first is Ultimate Game Programming with DirectX. and Game Programming Gems 8. Some time late September or early October I will be interviewing for an internship with the Microsoft Game Studio. My goal is to get to an intermediate skill level with DirectX 10, and HLSL 4.0 so that I can be prepared for the interview process.

So far the "Ultimate Game Programming with DirectX" book has been quite good, with very good explanations. The Game Programming Gems book has been quite technical, and a little over my head, but I expect by the time I'm done with the DirectX book, I should be able to make use of the Gems.

First Time...

Hi, so this is the first blog that I've ever created.  I will be using it for multiple different reasons, a few that I can imagine up right now would be, project status updates/releases, tutorials, programming thoughts/ideas, and most likely a lot more stuff.

I am also currently in the process of learning DirectX 10.  I will be following a set of tutorials I found at rastertek.com.  I will be keeping the code that I create in a Git repository here.  When I feel my understanding of DirectX is sufficient I will start creating other projects in github under the same username.  So be sure to check there for more stuff too!

Keep coming back and you will be sure to find a lot more content!
